We were recently asked to carry out an inspection to the ground floor and cellar of the building where Walsall's literary son Jerome. K. Jerome was born. This classic listed building is now a solicitors but houses a museum to the artist.

The property has a dry rot infection (Serpula lacrymans) internally which is affecting the gable wall and also travels into the cellars. Work will begin soon to eradicate the infection using masonry biocide.

Recently Dara Ó BriainRory McGrath and Griff Rhys Jones took to the river Thames in their original recreation of the novel.
