Homeowners & House Buyers Surveys
Need a Damp Survey in Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, Stafford or Worcester area? We can help...
What kind of surveys do we do?
We carry out several different surveys for differing kinds of remedial problems as well as Surveys for Basement & Cellar Conversions. They include but are not limited to the following:
Pre-purchase survey
This type of survey is usually undertaken when suggested or recommended by your building or mortgage valuation surveyor, where they have noticed a potential remedial issue such as Rising Damp, Woodworm, Wet Rot, Dry Rot or problems with condensation that may be affecting the property you are purchasing. The bank or building society may then require you to obtain a Damp & Timber Survey prior to confirming your commitment to purchase and the lender’s offer of a mortgage.
Survey of a specified area (usually a current homeowner )
A survey to a specified area is probably called for if you have noticed that something does not look quite right. Maybe you have noticed some damp in walls, holes have appeared to some woodwork, or even splitting or cracking of a piece of timber. Part of a floor may feel springy or feel spongy when walked upon. In this case you will only need a localised survey to a specific area. Initially you could send us a photo for some speedy advice.
We also do Basement and Cellar Conversions
Prestige Preservation has many years of experience in Basement / Cellar Conversions and have harnessed the most trying of conditions; even having to control water flooding into a basement whilst carrying out the conversion and reducing the ingress and increasing the escape at the same time. Rest assured no below ground conversion is too much of a problem with our experience.
